Thick Gauge Thermoforming

thick-gauge-thermoforming-hoodThick gauge thermoforming is also known as “heavy gauge” thermoforming. The plastic sheets used are .060” to .310” thick. These thick plastics make products with sturdy ridged walls. The plastic materials used are polycarbonate, ABS, and a PC-ABS blend. These products tend to be detailed and designed to last for a long period of time. They usually are brightly colored and have logos embedded in them. Thick gauge thermoforming products are used in a variety of ways, such as housing for medical equipment, playground equipment, car paneling, and furniture. These thermoformed products are meant to be very durable and not able to conduct electrical current.
